More safety for our patients at increased risk
From May 2025, we are pleased to announce a new, important collaboration in our practice for gastroenterological diagnostics: For endoscopic examinations of the stomach (gastroscopy) or the bowel (colonoscopy) for patients with an increased medical risk, we will be working closely with the experienced Anesthesia team Munich together.
This collaboration enables us to provide even more comprehensive and safer care for patients with particularly challenging medical conditions. These include people with pre-existing heart or lung conditions or other chronic complaints that require special anesthesiological support during the examination.
Who is the Munich anesthesia team?
The anesthesia team Munich under the medical direction of Mr. Dr. Jean-Ernst Harbarth consists of specialists in anesthesiology and emergency medicine with decades of clinical experience and extensive expertise in intensive care, emergency and air rescue medicine.
What does this mean for our patients?
-
Greater security: The presence of a specialized anaesthesia team significantly reduces the risk during sedation or short anaesthesia.
-
Individual support: Dr. Harbarth and his team cater to the specific needs of each individual patient - using state-of-the-art technology and many years of experience.
-
Smooth process: The endoscopic examinations will continue to take place in our practice rooms. The anesthesia is monitored in parallel by the outpatient anesthesia team - coordinated, safe and patient-centered.
Who is this extended care for?
This cooperation is aimed specifically at patients with an increased medical risk, for example:
-
Cardiovascular diseases (e.g. heart failure, arrhythmia)
-
Lung diseases (e.g. COPD, severe asthma)
-
Metabolic diseases or other complex medical findings
-
Elderly patients with multimorbidity
Our common goal: your safety and well-being
