Recent long-term scientific studies (e.g. by the DKFZ) show that colorectal cancer screening is worthwhile. While many types of cancer are on the rise due to an ageing society, colorectal cancer screening in Germany is enjoying unprecedented success:

Significant drop in mortality: Since the introduction of the program, the mortality rate from colorectal cancer among participants has down by just under 40 %.

Prevention instead of just early detection: Since precursors (polyps) are often removed directly during the examination, more than 180,000 cases of cancer be completely prevented.
Focus on men's health: safety through prostate screening
Prostate screening is just as important to us. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Germany, but modern medicine offers excellent opportunities for early detection.

Excellent chances of recovery: If a tumor is discovered at an early stage, the relative 10-year survival rate at almost 90 %.

Scientific evidence: Studies show that consistent screening (combination of examination and PSA value) reduces the mortality rate from prostate cancer by lower over 20 % can.
