CED - Chronic inflammatory bowel disease

CED = Chronic Einflammable Darm diseases

Meaning

A group of intestinal diseases whose development is not yet fully understood. They are usually suspected if there is diarrhea and/or blood in the stool as well as an increased level of inflammation in the stool (Calprotectin).

The diagnosis is usually made by endoscopy with tissue samples.
