New technology for even more precise early detection
From October 2025, we will be adding an innovative technology to our range of colorectal cancer screening services: Endo-AID CADe from Olympus - an AI-supported system for computer-aided polyp detection.
What does that mean for you?
The system acts as an "extra eye" during the colonoscopy and marks suspicious lesions in real time with green squares on the monitor. Clinical studies show a significant increase in the polyp detection rate (PDR): In the EuroCADe study with 845 patients in six European centers, the PDR increased from 67.2% to 79.6%. This is particularly significant as even small improvements in the detection rate significantly reduce the risk of colorectal cancer
Proven safety with state-of-the-art technology
The AI support takes place entirely in the background and does not change the tried-and-tested examination procedure. All data is processed locally, without external transmission, which meets the highest data protection standards.
Optional service for optimal prevention
As the costs are currently not yet covered by statutory and not all private health insurance companies, we offer this innovative technology as a Optional service on. Of course, we will inform you in detail about both options - the proven standard colonoscopy and the AI-supported variant.
Colorectal cancer screening remains one of the most effective preventive measures in medicine. With the new AI technology, we can optimize it even further and offer you even more precise early detection.
